Scores To Go Help

Scores to Go is an app owned by and developed by Neil Dun.

The app is used for managing society/club tour golf.

The app is not linked to, or associated with, WHS or any handicapping software.
Recording scores on the app will not affect your WHS handicap index (if you have one).

Scores to Go works very much like competition software used by golf clubs. The big difference is that the "society owners" have full control over how handicaps are managed and how competitions are run.
Using the Scores To Go app makes running a competition at away courses very simple. It removes the manual task of checking cards and working out who has won. Organisers have more time to enjoy their golf and spend time at the 19th hole!

The owner of the society has full control over who can join the society. They also have responsibility for setting up the score cards and the competition.
Once a competition is set up, it can easily be copied and tweaked. Ideal if you are running the same type of competition at multiple courses. You simply copy the competition details, update the name/date, and set up the new card.

If a society member registers for the app and requests to join a society (and the owner accepts their request) they will then be able to enter their own scores directly.
Scores are entered on the app using a page that looks suspiciously like a paper card - so all very familiar for the golfers. There is no need for players to work out which holes they get shots on. Simply enter the score into the app and the points are calculated instantly.

To add to the fun on an away day, Scores to Go has the ability to hide scores whilst the competition is "open". People are then unable see any scores that have been entered. Once the presentation has finished, the competition can be "closed" so everyone can see the results.

To lighten the load, a society owner may give other society members "Admin Access". This will enable them to set up or help manage the competition on the day.

Members of your society can be temporarily "de-activated" if they are not playing in a particular away day. This ensures that anyone who is not partipating cannot enter a ficticious scores whilst sat at home "just for a laugh!" Non attending members will still be able to see the results once the competition has been closed. They can also be "re-activated" if they attend the next away day.

If you wish to join a society, that someone else has created, tap on the "button" near the top of page that currently says

A list of societies that you are currently a member of will be displayed. At the top of the list of the will be the option "Request to join a society"

When you tap the Request to Join button,a prompt will ask you to enter the name of the society you wish to join. Enter part of the name and the matching societies will be displayed.

Tap on the society you wish to join and a message will be sent to the owner.

The society owner will either accept or reject your request and you will be emailed a reply.

When you have been accepted as a member of the society, the society will be added to your list of Societies.

To swap between societies (if you are a member of more than own) simply tap the "button" near the top of the page that says

A list of the societies that you are a member of will be displayed.

Tap on the required society.

Once changed, the app will remember the society that your are using, until you change it.

To change your password, first Sign Out of Scores to Go

Go back to the Sign in page, enter your email address and tap Reset Password

Follow the on screen instructions

When you have changed your password, you will be automatically signed back in to Scores to Go
